CVCA Girls Soccer honored their seniors prior to Monday night's game against Stow-Munroe Falls. Nine girls and their parents were thanked for their commitment to the program. The Class of 2017 has helped guide the girls soccer program to great success in recent years. The team finished as District Champs in 2014, District Runners-up in 2015, and enters this year as the #1 seed. After the senior night festivities ended, the Royals had a tough challenge in the Bulldogs. CVCA would lead early, fall behind, and comeback to tie the game. The final score ended in a 2-2 tie.

Toni Costa for a goal in the 9th minute of play. Costa's goal tied her with Hailey Eck for the most career goals (49) in CVCA history. Stow would tie things up quickly with a goal in the 12th minute. Later in the half, the Bulldogs scored again taking a 2-1 lead into hafltime. CVCA would answer quickly in the 2nd half.
Abby Hutt picked up a rebound and finished in the 53rd minute of play. The high intensity and quick play would continue throughout the game. Neither team would score again, resulting in a draw.
The girls will begin OHSAA Tournament play on Thursday, October 20th. They will host the winner of Fairless and Canton South at 7pm.
