The boys lacrosse team hosted Padau in their third straight home game on Friday night. The Royals have been hot lately, winning three straight. They reached double digits in goals in those three wins and were looking for more of the same agains the Bruins.

CVCA started fast, jumping out to a 4-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. Padua answered in the 2nd quarter and the teams were tied at 7 at halftime. Each team scored 3 goals in the 3rd period leaving the scored tied at 10 entering the 4th and final quarter. The Royal's offense and defense would stand out in the final quarter. Mitch Gilley, Ryan O'Connor, and Jack Atwood all scored a goal in the 4th. The defense of Daniel Griffith, Nathan Dietrich, Max Prentis, Matt Johnson, Brendan Watter, and Jay Woodlee made big stop after big stop to seal the win. Final score: CVCA 13 - Padua 11

Jay Woodlee tallied 14 total saves including 4 in the 4th quarter. Mitch Gilley had 4 goals and 1 assists. Ryan O'Connor scored three times and assisted twice. Jack Atwood had 2 goals and 3 assists. Nate Loxley scored 2 goals. Noah DeSousa registered 1 goal and 2 assists on the night. Kade Kalinowski scored once and assisted once.

The Royals will host Chardon on Tuesday, April 19th at 7pm.
