The CVCA girls basketball team hosted Hawken on Wednesday night in the Division II Northeast 4 District Semifinal. The Royals were looking to return to the District Championship for the 2nd year in a row. The visiting Hawks were looking to pull off an upset. CVCA was off in the first half of play. They weren't making shots and had some defensive mistakes especially early. However, they trailed by just 6 at the break. The Royals righted things in the 2nd half. They forced turnovers and started to score in bunches. They would win the game by a score of 59-47 to advance. CVCA will host PAC-7 rival Northwest on Saturday, February 27th at 7pm for the District Championship. The Royals and Indians split their regular season matchups this year.
