The CVCA girls basketball team played Wednesday night in the District Semifinals. They Royals faced Norton at Streetsboro High School. Both teams were looking for a spot in the District Final on Saturday night. CVCA led 11-6 after a strong first quarter of play. Norton put together a strong second quarter and was able to move ahead 25-24 at halftime. Norton maintained their lead and extended it four at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Royals were unable to put together a run in the fourth quarter and fell by a score of 49-45. This tough loss ends the season for CVCA. They finish the year 19-6.
