The CVCA girls basketball team hosted Triway on Wednesday night for their season opener. The Royals and Titans battled in the first conference game of the season. CVCA was able to take a 5 point lead into halftime with the score 24-19. Triway tried to fight back, but the Royals were able to extend their lead to 10 points by the end of the 3rd quarter. The girls held on through a highly contested 4th quarter for a 44-35 win. This win was the 100th career win for Head Coach Andy O'Keefe. The team is set to face Mentor on Saturday in the Cleveland Basketball Classic at Baldwin Wallace University.
