The CVCA girls basketball faced Woodridge on Wednesday night in a District Semi-final matchup. The Royals and Bulldogs met at Elyria High School with a spot in the District Final on the line. CVCA came out firing and led 18-10 after the first quarter. A dominant 2nd quarter gave the Royals a 36-12 halftime lead. They continued to extend their lead throughout the 2nd half on their way to an impressive 76-22 win. CVCA connect on 19 three point shots in this game with Senior Gia Casalinova hitting 9. With the win, the girls advance to Saturday's District Final. CVCA will face Elyria Catholic at 7pm at Elyria High School. Tickets are only available online through the OHSAA (ohsaa.org/tickets).
