The CVCA girls basketball team is once again District Champions. The Royals defeated Elyria Catholic by a score of 58-47 on Saturday night to claim the title. The program won it's first District Title in 2021 and are now champions again in 2023. It was a hard fought win for CVCA over the Panthers. The Royals were able to build a lead in the 2nd quarter but an early 3rd quarter run by Elyria Catholic made things interesting. The Royals hit timely shots and continued their defensive intense to hold on for the victory. With the win, the girls advance to the Sweet Sixteen. They will face a familiar foe in Northwest on Tuesday (8pm) at Barberton High School.
