The CVCA girls soccer team opened postseason play at home on Monday night. The Royals hosted the Boardman Spartan in a Divisoin III Sectional Final. CVCA was able to score first and grab an early 1-0 lead. That score remained through halftime. In the second half, the Royals were able to create more scoring chances. They only converted one for a goal, but their outstanding defense made that more than enough. CVCA recorded their 8th shutout of the season to secure the 2-0 victory. With the win, the girls advance to Monday's District semi-final. CVCA will host Kent Roosevelt at 7:00pm on October 21st.
