The CVCA volleyball team faced off against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin on Thursday night in a Division III Regional Semi-final. The Royals and Lions battled at Norwalk High School. It was an excellent match with both teams playing extremely well and hard. NDCL was able to take a close first set. CVCA answered with a narrow win in set 2. The Lions controlled the 3rd set to move in front 2-1. The Royals again answered with strong performance in the 4th set to tie the score. NDCL was able to jump ahead early and pull away late for a 15-8 win in the fifth set. The Royals fought until the very end in the 3-2 loss. It was a remarkable tournament run for CVCA as they won their first District Championship since 1997. They finish the season with a record of 16-10.
