The CVCA girls basketball team hosted Padua on Friday night. It was a battle between the Royals and Bruins for all four quarters of play. CVCA trailed early as Padua scored 19 first quarter points. The Royals were able to battle back and hold on late for a 45-43 win. The Bruins had a chance to tied the game with 3 free throws with less than 1 second left on the clock, but only made one. CVCA is now 5-3 on the season and 2-1 in conference play. They will travel to Jackson on Monday night.
