The CVCA girls soccer team made the trip up to Gilmour Academy on Wednesday night to face the Lancers. The Royals knew they were in for a test and the game proved to be just that. The first half went by without a goal on either side. The CVCA offense was knocking on the door in the second half but couldn't break through. A Gilmour foul gave the Royals a penalty kick and senior Sam Anderson capitalized. The Royals' defense led by goalkeeper Izzy Ezzone secured the win with a shutout. The 1-0 win moves CVCA to 1-1 on the season. The girls will travel to Alliance on Monday night.
