The CVCA girls basketball team hosted Lake Catholic on Saturday afternoon. This was the first North Coast Conference game of the season for the Royals. The girls played excellent defense on the day as they held the Cougars under 10 points in each of the four quarters of action. They secured a 43-24 victory for their first win of the season (1-4). This is also the first win for Coach Brock Holmes at CVCA. The Royals will hit the road on Wednesday night to face another NCC opponent in Holy Name.
