The CVCA boys golf team competed at the OHSAA Sectional Tournament on Monday. The Royals took on the Division II field at Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley. The Royals were playing well when a weather delay hit about half-way through the round. After the wait, CVCA was able to finish well and shoot 319 as a team. That was good enough for 3rd place overall and earned the Royals a trip to the District Tournament. Junior Andrew Van Hala shot one over par (73) and was the individual champion. CVCA will compete at the Division II District Tournament at Windmill Lakes on Tuesday, September 30th with a trip to the State Tournament on the line.
