The CVCA girls basketball team traveled to Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin on Saturday for a NCC contest. The Royals started fast and led by six at the end of the first quarter. NDCL responded well in the 2nd quarter and the score was tied at halftime. The 2nd half was a defensive battle. Both teams battled hard. The Royals led by two points entering the fourth quarter, but the Lions were able to move in front early in the final frame. CVCA dug deep and found a response. They fought back and earned a two point victory. The girls are now 2-8 overall but 2-2 in conference play. They will host Elyria Catholic on Wednesday before traveling to Beaumont on Saturday.
