The CVCA girls basketball team made the trip to Lutheran West on Saturday for a non-conference match-up with the Longhorns. The Royals started the game on a 9-0 run and led by as many as 11 points in the first half. Lutheran West was able to pull within striking distance to close out the half and CVCA led by just 4 at the break. The Longhorns grabbed control of this game in the 3rd quarter. After pulling even with the Royals, they went on a 14-0 run of their own. CVCA made a valiant comeback attempt and pulled within a few scores in the 4th quarter, but Lutheran West was able to weather the storm on hold on for the win. With the loss, the Royals fall to 5-15 on the season. They will host VASJ on Monday night.
