The CVCA volleyball team traveled to Mentor on Tuesday to face the Lake Catholic Cougars. The Royals started slow and dropped the first set. They responded with a win in the second set and held a late lead in the third set. Lake Catholic fought back and took the third set from CVCA. The Royals were able to force a fifth set, but the Cougars won that for the 3-2 victory. It was a strong effort for the Royals in a tough, road, conference match. They will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they travel to Holy Name.
