Tuesday night was Senior Night for the CVCA Boys Soccer program. Nine seniors and their parents were recognized for their commitment to the soccer program. The Royals hosted the Canfield Cardinals for their final regular season home game of 2016. CVCA was able to build a lead, and hold on late for a 3-2 win.
CVCA opened the scoring with 22:21 left in the first half.
Ryan Winquist took a free kick from the left side of the field. His ball found senior
Austin Eck in the box. Eck directed his header into the corner of the goal for the 1-0 lead. Later in the first half, the Royals would score again.

Ryan Winquist calmly finished the penalty shot. Halftime score: CVCA 2 - Canfield 0
Less than 4 minutes into the 2nd half, the boys increased their lead to 3-0.Â
Chris DeLucia played a corner kick into the box where it found
Josh Flenniken. Josh headed the ball past the keeper for the score. Canfield would make things interesting with 2 goals late in the half. The Royals were able to hold on for a 3-2 win.
The boys will travel to Perrysburg on Saturday, October 8th.
