The CVCA hockey team opened up their Canada trip on Monday with a game against Smithville Christian. Smithville is located just west of Niagra Falls. They were wonderful hosts and welcomed the Royals with open arms. Both teams scored 1 goal in the first period. Smithville was able to open up a lead with 4 goals in the second period. They led 5-2 heading into the final period. The Royals would answer with another goal, but Smithville was able to score twice. Final score: CVCA 3 - Smithville Christian 7. Hayden Dickerson scored all 3 goals for the Royals.
