The boys basketball team traveled to Akron Kenmore on Tuesday night with just 5 games remaining in the regular season. The Royals were looking to extend a 3 game winning streak, and that is exactly what they did. After a slow start, CVCA responded with a 22 point second quarter. They were able to break Kenmore's 1-3-1 half court trap by making smart decisions with the ball. The second half was more of the same as CVCA out scored Kenmore by six on their way to a 57-50 victory.
Senior
Nate Peters scored 25 points, dished out 4 assists, and pulled down 5 rebounds for the visiting Royals. Junior
Steven Taylor added 19 points including three 3 pointers. Juniors
Elijah Turner (4 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists) and
Ryan Foguth (7 points, 6 rebounds) also filled the box score.
CVCA will host PAC-7 Champion Tuslaw on Friday night. The Royals will look to end the Mustangs undefeated season. JV at 6, Varsity at 7:30pm.
