Willoughby Hills, OH - The boys team made the trip to Cornerstone Christian Academy for their second game in as many nights. These two teams have met twice before in highly competitive games both played at CVCA. This was the first game with the Patriots serving as hosts. The Royals did not make the night enjoyable for CCA, coming away with a 65-57 overtime victory. It was a great win for CVCA as the team played smart and tough. Despite giving up a late lead that sent the game into overtime, the boys responded well and won the extra period 18-10.
CVCA was paced by Nate Peter's 18 points and 5 rebounds.
Ryan Foguth scored 17 points, pulled down 6 rebounds, and added 3 assists.
Jake Stull (10) and
Steven Taylor (12) also scored in double figures for the visiting Royals.
CVCA will return to action on Tuesday night. They will travel to Akron Kenmore for a non-league matchup at 6:30 & 7pm.
