The Royals played their last game of the regular season at the Kent State Ice Arena tonight.  It was Senior Night and the seniors didn't disappoint leading the team to a 5-3 victory.  Senior assistant captain Matt Greenwood was outstanding on defense blocking numerous shots at key moments  especially in the 3rd period.  Senior captain Josh Polanski had a 5 point night (2 goals and 3 assists) and finished the regular season as the leading scorer in the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League.   After giving up the game's first goal,  to the Bay Rockets, the Royals junior defensemen Noah Polanski scored on shot from the point to tie the game at 1-1.  Josh Polanski scored to give the Royals the 2-1 lead heading into the 1st intermission.  The second period saw Josh Polanski again light the lamp and Christian Beckett and Bayley McRitchie also scoring for the Royals to seal the 5-3 win.  Brooks Montgomery was strong in net stopping 19 of 23 shots on the night.  Josh Polanski (pictured) was selected as the Royal of the Game and was awarded The Crown.
