The CVCA volleyball team couldn't wait to begin the 2016 season, and that day finally came on Monday. The Royals hosted neighbor Woodridge in an annual matchup between friendly rivals. Woodridge jumped out to a quick lead in set #1. The Royals regrouped and won the 1st set by a score of 25-17. They would continue with that momentum in set #2, winning 25-12. CVCA's balanced attack would end the match in the 3rd set (25-16).
Mary Kate Harmody registered 13 kills and 3 blocks.
Aubrienne Cirino dished out 28 assists.
Emily Jackson had 8 digs and
Riley Nickol scored 3 aces. The Royals will travel to Twinsburg on Saturday for a tri-match that will include Solon.
