CVCA hosted Medina Highland in Girls Tennis on Wednesday afternoon. As the showers moved in, the match was moved indoors to Towpath Tennis Center. It was a dramatic scene at Towpath with the match score tied at two matches a piece. After 1st doubles lost a tough three setter, it all came down to 2nd doubles. They lost an extremely close first set in a tiebreaker. Instead of letting their discouragement get the better of them, they came back and won a very close 2nd set. That win set up a 3rd set to determine the outcome of the entire match. With this being the final dual match of the season, there was a lot of pressure to end on a positive note. They delivered in the 3rd set. The Royals came up with some very clutch shots to secure the match, as well as team victory. CVCA finishes the year at 11-8. They will compete at the Sectional Tournament on Tuesday and Saturday of next week.
