The CVCA hockey team traveled to Michael A. Ries Ice Rink in Parma on Tuesday night. It was the 4th straight day the Royals traveled up to Parma. Over the weekend, CVCA competed in Parma's MLK tournament. Tuesday night's game carried a little more significance with it being a GCHSHL Blue Division game. The Royals faced off against Normandy, who entered the game in 2nd place. Normandy defeated CVCA the first time the two teams met in divisional play. The teams would then split games during the CVCA Christmas tournament at Kent State. The first period ended with no score. The Royals took a commanding 3-0 lead in the 2nd period.
Christian Beckett netted 2 goals for the Royals, and
Noah Polanski added 1. Normandy would battle back with 3 goals of their own in the final period. Christian Becket was able to complete his hat trick and give the Royals the insurance goal they needed. CVCA won by a score of 4-3. Goalie
