The CVCA hockey team hosted Avon Lake on Saturday afternoon. Avon Lake entered the game leading the league with a 8-0-1 record. The Royals fell to the Shoremen earlier this season, but were determined to have a better showing in this one. Despite multiple players battling illness, the Royals battled hard. Goalie Brooks Montgomery gave his team a chance with an outstanding game between the pipes. The Royals' offense would get a goal from Ryan Baxter, but was able to create more than that. Avon Lake would win the game by a score of 4-1. Only one regular season game remains for CVCA. They will host North Canton Hoover on Friday, February 3rd at 5pm for Senior Night.
