CVCA opened the OHSAA Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Royals persevered and executed their game plan as they defeated Cleveland Central Catholic in overtime by a score of 59-54. The girls were able to dictate the tempo for most of the game. It was a back and forth game in which the Royals were able to settle in down the stretch and execute offensively. The deciding factor of the game ended up being the free throw line. The Lady Royals made more free throws than the Ironmen attempted. CVCA went 20-24 from the line with none bigger than in the overtime period.  In OT, the Lady Royals went 9-10! CVCA advances to play Chagrin Falls on Thursday at 7:00pm at CF.
