The CVCA girls basketball team defeated Chagrin Falls 56-41 on Thursday night. With the win, the Lady Royals have advanced to the District Semi-finals. The girls executed their game plan from start to finish. They were able to dictate tempo and keep Chagrin Falls off balance. Coach Robinson, pleased with the defensive effort, said "We were able to switch defenses regularly which did not allow them to get comfortable." CVCA again maintained balance on offense with four players in or around double figures. "I thought we shared the ball well and everyone contributed. The bench was involved and we had a lot of people being great teammates" Coach Robinson added. This was the second consecutive road playoff win for the Lady Royals. It is the first time they made the district round since 2011-2012. The Royals will face the district's top seed in Hathaway Brown on Monday, February 27th. The teams will meet at Nordonia High School for a 7:45pm tip.
