The CVCA Boys Basketball teams made the trip down to Triway on Friday night. The Royals were looking to keep their undefeated conference record intact, but the trip to Triway is never easy. Friday night's game would go back and forth, with both teams making runs. The Royals led by 5 after the first quarter after allowing just 6 points. Triway bounced back to grab a 21-18 half-time lead thanks to 15-7 second quarter. CVCA would answer in the third by outscoring the Titans 13-5. Just as the Royals extended their lead to 10 at 36-26, Triway would cut it to 38-34 with an 8-2 run,. From there it was all CVCA as they scored the game's final six points for the 44-34 win.
Elijah Turner led the Royals with 15 points.
CVCA will host Indian Valley is a rescheduled game on Tuesday, February 7th. With a win, the Royals will clinch at least a share of the PAC-7 title.
