The CVCA Boys basketball team traveled to Northwest on Wednesday night. The Royals were playing for the second time in as many nights, but were able to start fast. They jumped out to a 17-3 lead in the first quarter. Northwest would hang around but was unable to overcame the large early deficit. Final score: 52-40. CVCA's defense had a strong night allowing just 40 points on 34% shooting. The game served as a preview of next year's conference play as Northwest will join the PAC in 2017-18. The Royals will return to action on Friday night when they host Tusky Valley. That night will also serve as senior night. Seniors and their parents will be recognized following the conclusion of the junior varsity game.
