When the CVCA boys soccer schedule is released, it's hard not to circle the Walsh Jesuit game first. The Royals hosted the Warriors on Saturday night in one of the area's best soccer rivalries. A larger than normal crowd was treated to an evenly matched and competitive game. Both teams were playing extremely hard and were able to create their own opportunities. CVCA was able to score first.
Zack Venus received the ball from
Josh Lichty on the right side and fired the ball into the top right corner of the game. An impressive strike gave the Royals a 1-0. Less than a minute later, Walsh answered. They quickly tied the game up with a goal of their own. From there both teams had chances, but neither was able to score. The game ended in a 1-1 tie.
CVCA is now 6-0-3 on the season. They will travel to Youngstown on Thursday to face Cardinal Mooney. The game will be played at Youngstown State at 7pm.
