The CVCA hockey team once again competed in Parma's MLK tournament this season. Saturday's opening round games were all canceled due to poor weather conditions. That left the Royals with 1 game on Sunday and 1 game on Monday. On Sunday afternoon, CVCA faced off against a familar foe in North Canton Hoover. These two teams have seen a lot of each other over the past few seasons and the games are always tight. The Royals and Vikings skated to a 4-4 tie in this match-up.

Gabe Dearden scored 1. Dearden added 2 assists and was named Royal of the Game. In Monday's game, CVCA faced off against host Parma. The Royals made a strong push in the 3rd period of this one, but ultimately fell by a score of 7-4.
