The CVCA boys basketball team hosted Canton South on Tuesday for the final regular season game of the 2017-2018 season. It was senior night for the Royals as the team recognized Terrell Hicks, Josh Thacker, Hudson Hall, Eric Mathews, Elijah Payne, and Ben Watterson before the game. Three senior cheerleaders (Roni Watkins, Ashten Yoder, Catie Stanley) were also recognized prior to the start of the game. This is a great group of seniors who have given everything thing they have during the season. In the game, the Royals started hot and opened a small lead early. The Wildcats responded by turning up the pressure on defense and attacking the boards on offense. The combination of turnovers and offensive rebounds proved costly for CVCA. They fell by a score of 45-34. When the regular season complete, the Royals will focus on the OHSAA tournament. They will host Aurora in the first round on Tuesday, February 27th at 7pm.
