The CVCA boys basketball season came to an end early than they had hoped on Tuesday night. The Royals fell to Aurora in the Sectional Semi-final by a score of 58-50. It was a game of runs, with both teams going through stretches of good play. CVCA led 16-12 after the first quarter and 25-22 at the half. Aurora used a big 3rd quarter where they outscored the Royals 21-10 to grab a 43-35 lead. CVCA responded with a 6-0 run to start the 4th quarter. They got a stop and had the ball with a chance to tie before a few costly turnovers sparked the Greenmen. Aurora finished with strong free throw shooting and the Royals couldn't battle back. The team displayed heart and toughness all year long and a great group of seniors will be missed.
