The CVCA boys basketball team hosted University School on Wednesday night. The Royals were looking to open 2019 with a win over a very tough Preppers squad. CVCA jumped ahead early and led 10-4 after the first quarter. University made a run of their own in the 2nd quarter and the score was tied at 23 at halftime. The second half was more back and forth. The game came down to the final seconds, but a CVCA shot missed in the closing seconds and they fell by a score of 46-45. They will be back in action on Friday night when they host Triway.
