The Royals played their first of three matches this week on a beautiful autumn Ohio evening at CVCA. Playing against Notre Dame Cathedral Latin school, the Royals managed a close win that required a lot of nerve and focus. Senior Hannah Jacob took care of the first singles court 6-1 6-1 and Junior Sarah Thelander played well to take second singles 6-2 6-2. Though third singles and first doubles played hard, they were unable to pull out wins. The third win of the evening came from the second doubles pair of Seniors Callie Conner and Courtney Morris. They held off a strong second set surge from NDCL to bring home the 6-2 7-6(4) win, propelling the Royals to a 3-2 victory. It was a great way to start out a busy week, and we'll seek to keep up the focus and intensity through the end of the season! - Coach Ramey
