The CVCA hockey team played in the Adam S. Hamilton Memorial tournament final on Sunday afternoon. The Royals faced off against Kent Roosevelt with the tournament title on the line. It was quite the battle between CVCA and the Rough Riders. Regulation ended with no score. Then the 3v3 overtime period ended with no score. That forced the game to a shootout. The shootout went 4 rounds with Kent coming out on top 3-2. CVCA played well and were in control for large stretches of the game. Despite a strong attack, they could not find a way past the Roosevelt goalie. The Royals will return to action on Saturday with a home game against Kenston.
