The CVCA boys basketball hit the road on Friday night and traveled to Northwest. The Royals and Indians both entered the game at 9-2 in conference play with just Friday's matchup remaining. The winner would be PAC-7 Champions. Northwest used the momentum of the home crowd to jump ahead early. They led 15-5 early in the second quarter. From that point on, it was all CVCA. The Royals played even tougher defense and started to execute better on the offensive end. They outscored Northwest 35-8 the rest of the game for a 40-23 win. The win secured the 2022 PAC-7 Championship for CVCA. It was the boys first title since 2016-17.
