The CVCA boys basketball team competed in the DY Classic at Shaker Heights High School on Saturday. The Royals were matched up with the University School Preppers. Both teams entered the game undefeated on the season and the game didn't disappoint. CVCA trailed for much of the game but continued to battle and stay within striking distance. They made their move in the 4th quarter and outscored US by 9 points in the final frame. With the strong finish, the Royals secured a 65-60 win to move to 5-0. Senior LaVelle Sharpe was named game MVP for CVCA and Coach Matt Futch recorded his 100th career victory. The team will travel to Orrville on Tuesday night.
