The CVCA boys basketball team hosted Triway on Friday night in a PAC-7 showdown. The Royals started slow in this game and fell behind 12-0 to start the game. After trailing 16-2, CVCA went on a 16-0 run to lead 18-16 at the end of the first quarter. The Royals remained in front during the 2nd and 3rd quarters but couldn't pull away from the visiting Titans. Down the stretch, the game went back and forth which each score resulting in a lead change. A late three game CVCA a two point advantage with just seconds remaining. Triway missed a game winning three point attempt, but tipped in the miss at the buzzer to tie the game and send it to overtime. The Royals controlled play early in overtime and held on for a 73-66 win. CVCA remains unbeaten on the season as they move to 7-0 (4-0). The boys will host a very strong Emmanuel Christian squad on Saturday at 5:00pm.
