The CVCA boys basketball team defeated Cleveland Shaw on Thursday night by a score of 57-49. The Royals led the Cardinals most of the game and built a solid lead early in the 4th quarter. Shaw continued to fight back but never came within striking distance. Sophomore Darryn Peterson led the way with 29 points. Senior Jackson Shelby added 12. With the win, CVCA returns to the District Final where they will have a rematch against Glenville. The Tarblooders took down the Royals in last year's District Final by a score of 75-61. CVCA and Glenville will meet at Louisville High School on Saturday with a game time of 7:00pm. Tickets can only be purchased online at ohsaa.org/tickets.
