The CVCA hockey team hosted their annual Christmas Tournament last week. The Royals were looking to defend their 2022 title on their home ice. This year, the tournament featured six teams split into two divisions. CVCA took care of business in the south division as they defeated Avon, Aurora, and Normandy to secure a spot in the championship game. Clay High School came out of the north division after an impressive three game stretch. The stage was set for Saturday's Championship game. In the final game, the Royals played absolutely outstanding. It was a hard fought, low scoring battle between two very good teams. CVCA was able to find the game winning goal in the third period to claim the championship by a score of 2-1. The Royals are now 14-5 on the season. Special thanks to everyone who participated, attended, or volunteered at the tournament. It was another great year for the CVCA Christmas Tournament.
