The CVCA hockey team hosted Avon on Saturday to open the 2024-25 season. The Royals scored first but Avon answered with 2 goals to lead 2-1 at the end of the first period. CVCA score the lone goal of the 2nd period and the score was tied entering the 3rd. The Royals scored twice in early in the 3rd period and held on for a 4-3 win. They will return to the ice after Thanksgiving at Normandy's Bruce Anderson Memorial Tournament.
