The CVCA baseball team hosted Holy Name on Saturday. The Royals and Green Wave faced off in non-conference action. Next season, these two teams will compete against each other in the North Coast Conference. Saturday's game had the feel of a big conference game. Holy Name scored first, but CVCA answered with 3 runs in the home half to lead by two. Two scoreless innings passed before Holy Name added one run in the 4th inning. The Royals scored in the 5th to move back in front by two runs. Both teams scored once in the 6th inning and CVCA held on for the 5-3 victory. The team has now won 10 straight games and sits at 11-3 overall. They will travel to Orrville on Monday night.
