The CVCA boys basketball hosted Lake Catholic on Friday night for their season opener. It was also the North Coast Conference opener for the Royals and the first game under head coach Kevin Byrne. The boys came out strong and really opened up their lead in the 2nd quarter. CVCA took a 42-16 lead into halftime. They extended their lead in the 3rd quarter and the running clock rule was activiated. CVCA would go on to win the game by a score of 64-40 to start the season 1-0.
