The CVCA boys basketball team hosted Padua on Tuesday night in a North Coast Conference contest. The Royals and Bruins are expected to battle for the top of the NCC standings this season so this was a key early season match up. A fast start for Padua left CVCA in a 10-0 hole to start the game. The boys settled in and took a three point lead into halftime. The lead extended to 13 points in the middle third quarter. The Bruin were able to pull within 6 points, but CVCA finished the game on a 14-0 run to secure victory. The Royals are now 4-1 on the season and 3-0 in conference play. They will face Walsh Jesuit on Saturday in the Tallmadge Winter Classic. That game will be played at 7:00pm at Tallmadge High School.
