This past weekend, the CVCA hockey program hosted the 14th annual CVCA Christmas Tournament at the Dan Kostel Recreation Center in Garfield Heights. Due to illness, one of the teams scheduled to participate had to drop out. That created a scramble and the need to reset the schedule. CVCA ended up playing three games (2 vs Avon, 1 vs Steele) on the weekend. The team finished 0-2-1 in those games. Steele finished as tournament champions as they proved to be a very strong team. The Royals will be back in action on January 11th when they face Mayfield.
