The CVCA boys basketball team hosted Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin on Friday night in a big North Coast Conference game. The Royals entered the game in first place and a win would give them at least a share of the 2025 title. NDCL entered the game in 2nd place needing a win to stay in the race. The visiting Lions started hot and pulled in front by double digits in the first half. CVCA was able to fight back and trim the deficit to just 4 points at halftime. In the 2nd half, the Royals would outscore the Lions 36-21 to secure a 60-49 victory. They will now finish now worse than NCC Co-Champions this season. The boys will travel to Elyria Catholic on Saturday for a shot to win the title outright.
