The CVCA hockey team faced off against Elyria Catholic on Thursday evening in the Baron Cup. The Royals and Panthers were locked in an incredible battle. Three periods wasn't nearly enough to determine a winner. Both teams scored once in regulation so the game went to overtime. It wasn't until the 4th overtime period when another goal was scored. Elyria Catholic was able to break through score to secure a 2-1. The Royals battled hard but couldn't convert their opportunities into goals. The defense led by goalie Caleb Mosher played exceptionally well. Senior Eli Perrotta scored the lone goal.
