The CVCA boys basketball team team traveled up to Mentor on Friday night to face the Lake Catholic Cougars. The Royals were looking to stay on top of the North Coast Conference standings with a win. The Cougars led by 4 at halftime as CVCA started slow in this game. The game changed part way through the 3rd quarter. Trailing 39-35, the Royals went on a 20-0 run to flip the game in their favor. The boys would go on to win the game by a score of 60-51. They improve to 12-7 on the season and 7-1 in conference play. CVCA holds a 1 game lead in the loss column with 2 conference games remaining. The Royals will host Firestone on Tuesday for Senior Night.
