The CVCA baseball team hosted Holy Name in NCC action on Wednesday night. The Royals broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the bottom of the 4th inning.
Jonah Gaudio singled in
Connor McGough and
Zac Anderson singled in Gaudio. CVCA added a run in the 5th inning when
Alex Mammone scored on a
Daniel Walker sacrifice fly. Holy Name pushed across two runs in the top of the sixth inning to pull within one at 3-2. The Royals responded with three runs in the bottom half of the inning to pull away.
Ryan Wiehe scored on a
Zac Anderson ground out.
Logan Kish singled to drive in
Jonah Gaudio, and
Kyle Shaw score on a throwing error on the same play. CVCA's pitchers continue to perform well. John Harbedian went 3 scoreless innings and struck out 6.
Connor McGough earned the win going 3 innings in relief.
Logan Kish pitched the 7th inning and stuck out the side. The Royals are now 6-3 on the season and 3-0 in conference play. They will face Revere on Thursday night at Canal Park in Akron.
